Technical Aspects
As regards plant & machineries is concerned the company has opted for best options available for a modern cold chain project with latest and advance technologies viz. imported Fire proof Sandwich PUF Panel used in wall and roof. The refrigeration system is Ammonia (NH3) direct cooling system. The use of various advanced sensors and controls will ensure a very safe and harmless functioning of the cooling system.
The Cold storage is a Modified Atmosphere Cold Storage where in the harmful gases viz. Carbon dioxide and Ethylene are maintained at Specified/Desired Levels by using Scrubbers which gives the stored products an advantage over normal cold storage resulting in a prolonged storage life, better sanitation and quality of stored commodity.
The range of temperature available is from -25°C to 10°C along with humidity control as per the requirement of different commodities to be stored in different chambers. By putting the product in a Cold storage the major factor of Temperature has been addressed.
Further due to use of advance technologies the temperature and humidity will be maintained and constantly monitored through online control system, SCADA, resulting in a perfect storage conditions as per highest industry standards.
It has been ensured that the control of temperature, humidity and % of harmful gases is done through atomization thereby reducing the chances of human error.
The use of energy efficient fireproof sandwich PUF Panels will almost nullify the heat loss and also provide a very hygienic storage condition and also reduce the power consumption.
Now the next two factors, Humidity and concentration of Ethylene & CO2 need major attention. We have addressed the problem of CO2 by installing a CO2 scrubber which promptly removes the excess CO2 from the chamber.
The prime factor of controlling the concentration of Ethylene has been addressed in a very innovative way by using certain combination of technologies that apart from ensuring desired level of Ethylene concentration also ensures the Hygiene of the Storage room by removing the un-wanted Bacteria, Moulds etc from the confined air as well as surface of the chamber and product.
